Isla Mágica is one of the most well-known water parks in Europe, located in the south of Spain, just across the border with Portugal, in Seville so its only approx. 2 hours from the Algarve so perfect for a day out. This article aims at explaining how the park is organized and what types of attractions can be found to give you a great overview of the park.
Scariest rides:
El Desafío – El Desafío consists of a kind of elevator that takes visitors up to a height of 68 meters and then drops them in free fall. This hallucinatory attraction will put your nerves into a fringe. There are 6 modes of operation that vary throughout the day and make it an attraction for the whole family. These 6 operating modes regulate the speed with which you fall.
Jaguar – The Jaguar roller-coaster is hidden deep inside the jungle, and you never know what will happen next. This is the ultimate test of courage for those who venture into Isla Mágica. Its 765 meters make it the largest roller-coaster in the park and allow you to reach speeds of 85 kilometres per hour in certain sections.
El Vuelo del Halcón – This terrifying roller-coaster will make you fly in circles at high speed. Sit on the swings of the hanging chairs and fly like a hawk through the skies of Seville.
Adrenaline:
Anaconda – This attraction that at first glance looks like a simple boat ride through an aquatic tunnel is actually a mind-boggling roller-coaster that crosses three vertiginous falls that are 8, 9 and 17 meters high.
Rápidos del Orinoco – Rápidos del Orinoco is another roller-coaster, which will make you cross the ruins of an ancient Mayan temple at a terrifying speed. Feel the adrenaline rushing through your skin as you drive through the rapids of Seville.
Iguazú – Inspired by Iguazu Falls on the border between Brazil and Argentina, this fun attraction will take you through the descent of a waterfall on a boat at a speed of more than 50 kilometres per hour. At the end of the route a wave floods visitors.
Most fun attractions:

Agua Mágica water park:
Agua Mágica is a section of Isla Mágica filled with shops, restaurants, a wave pool, waterslides and several other attractions, as well as showers, lockers, sun loungers and even real sand that make Seville’s Beach.
Here are some of the main water slides and attractions of Agua Mágica:
Isla de Toboganes – A set of vertiginous slides allows you to compete with your friends and family to see who is the fastest to reach the end of the descent. There are also other types of slides that allow people to descend on floats.
Mini Paraíso – A gigantic 600 m2 pool accommodates colourful constructions of castles and slides for the younger ones to enjoy an unforgettable experience in Isla Mágica.
El Arrecife Tirolina – This fun attraction consists in letting yourself fall from a sliding line to a pool. It seems easy, but when it comes the time to actually do it few have the courage to drop from the heights into the pool.
Rio Lento – Finally, we highlight Rio Lento. Grab an inflatable and let the slow-paced current push you in a gentle away across the Agua Mágica section. This is a great choice for those who want to relax for a bit.
